Abstract:
A series of new photocatalysts CuS/Cd0.6Mn0.4S was synthesized throw a simple two-stage technique. The activity of obtained photocatalysts was tested in the hydrogen evolution reaction under visible light irradiation (450 nm) with the use of Na2S/Na2SO3 solution as an electron donor. CuS was shown to be a prospective cocatalyst for sulfide-based photocatalyst in hydrogen evolution reaction. The maximum activity was equal to 1.2 mmol·h−1·g−1 and was achieved over 5 wt.% CuS/Cd0.6Mn0.4S photocatalyst.
