Abstract: A heterogenous biocatalyst on the basis of cell membranes of autolyzed baker’s yeast with the invertase activity has been developed. The catalyst obtained by membrane adsorption on foam-ceramics covered with a layer of catalytic filamentous carbon was investigated using a rotor-inertial bioreactor (RIB). The optimum conditions for the reactor functioning were established. Under the studied conditions, RIB was shown to be as efficient as the routine flow-type column fixed-bed reactor, and therefore it can be used for the industrial sucrose inversion.
