Реферат:
Present work reports on the development of novel approaches towards studying hard ceramic materials. We show that for the case of catalysts based on hard alumina spheres, established techniques, such as ASTM D 4058, may not provide enough information on the mechanical stability of the particles. In particular, ASTM D 4058 underestimates attrition loss for the hard ceramic samples in a pure form and with Mg-doping. Based on this knowledge, we propose several modifications that improve prediction power of ASTM D 4058 with regard to the long-term mechanical stability of ceramic samples.
