Abstract:
In the paper, the effect of modifying treatments (acid and alkaline) of carbonized sapropels on the carbonmineral materials (CM) properties was studied. It is shown that the chemical modification has the greatest influence on the CM samples obtained from mineral sapropel. At the same time, there is a significant increase in the total surface (2 –2.2 times), as well as a significant change in texture characteristics: an increase in the fraction of micropores (up to 28% of the total pore volume) and a decrease in the fraction of macropores (from 41 to 30% of the total pore volume). For CM samples obtained from organic sapropel, the surface increase is not so significant (about 1.2 times), and the texture change is associated with a significant decrease in the fraction of mesopores and an increase in the fraction of micropores.
