Abstract: The work shows the methods for the presentation and interpretation of data on the mechanical strength of heterogeneous catalysts and supports. The importance of observing the required sample size and the inadmissibility of interpretation of point values as a characteristic of the universal set is shown. With a sufficient sample size of the strength characteristics of the catalysts, their interpretation should be based on an interval estimate rather than a point estimate.
