Abstract: The carbon sorbent modified by the polycondensation products of amino acids (glutamic acid, glycine) was obtained. The properties of modified samples were investigated by low-temperature nitrogen adsorption, thermal analysis, IR spectroscopy and method of H.P. Boehm. During the modification, the sorbent / solution ratio and the duration of the synthesis were varied. The effect of the modification parameters (sorbent / amino acid solution, synthesis time) on the physicochemical properties of the modified carbon sorbents is established.
