Abstract: New approaches to the production of acetylene carbon black are considered: the gas-phase synthesis of nanocarbon materials by rapid dynamic decomposition of overcompressed acetylene; and the synthesis of carbon black from liquid hydrocarbons, which includes their axial feeding with two coaxial flows of the oxygen-containing gas, thermal-oxidative decomposition and high-temperature treatment of the resulting aerosol. Results of a comprehensive study on the structural properties of carbon black obtained from acetylene and subjected to thermal treatment are reported.
