Abstract: The specific power of an Adsorption Thermal Battery (ATB) is often limited by slow adsorption. This paper aims to develop a new method for accelerating sorption dynamics and to study a modified composite sorbent LiCl/Vermiculite, specialized for ATB. The new sorbent is characterized by outstanding methanol uptake, heat storage capacity and advanced specific power.
