Abstract: Currently, the construction of 4+ generation synchrotron radiation source “SKIF” is underway in Novosibirsk. Its distinctive feature is a low emittance at a high beam current. Collective effects in storage rings with high intensity beams are quite diverse. One of them is the effect of beam loading of accelerating RF cavities. This effect is determined by the impedance of the fundamental mode of the RF cavities and the mode of filling pattern. In this article we investigate the influence of the beam loading effect on the Touschek lifetime of bunches in the storage ring of SRF “SKIF”. Analytical calculations of this effect for the fundamental mode of filling the storage ring are performed. It is shown that bunches in this mode have distinctly different Touschek lifetimes. It is also shown that with an increase in the RF acceptance, this effect can weaken and become small with the RF acceptance equal to the momentum acceptance of the storage ring.
