Abstract: Basing on the components of an available naturally occurring renewable raw material, a synthesis of a novel chiral optically pure diamine belonging to diterpene series was realized. The tricyclic trans-1,2-diamine obtained and its derivatives could be used as ligand for metal complex catalysts of asymmetric reactions.
