The effect of the interaction between the Cu(DTC) 2 complex and pyridine on the behavior of the EPR spectra in solution was investigated. It was shown that the anomalous nature of the spectra in the mixed solvent is due to rapid exchange between the various coordination states of the complex. By the analysis of the exchange spectra using solutions of the Bloch equations modified for the case of chemical exchange it was possible to determine the equilibrium constants and to evaluate the rate constants for the equilibrium reaction involved in the formation of the pentacoordinated adduct and its dissociation. The energy parameters of the reaction were determined from the temperature dependence of the constants
