Abstract: Ultra disperse Pt powders was found to possess of high selectivity and activity at mild temperatures in the partial methane or benzene oxidation, and also in n-heptane isomerization. This is thought to be due to the presence of partially charged Pt sites on the surface, which stabilize molecular oxygen species as peroxide groups.
