Реферат: By means of thermochemical activation with potassium hydroxide and single-stage carbonization-activation with water vapour, porous materials were prepared from sapropel of the lakes of Novosibirsk Region related to the organic type (Lake Kachkulnya) and organomineral type (Lake Barchin), as well as from the solid residues of their thermal dissolution in ethanol. Texture and adsorption properties of porous materials were studied. It was established that thermochemical activation of the sapropel of organic type can give porous materials with the specific surface up to 618 m2/g, total pore volume 0.26 cm3/g (measured using BET procedure), sorption activity with respect to iodine and methylene blue 58.9 % and 189.1 mg/g, respectively. It was demonstrated that these materials can be used as organomineral sorbents in the technologies of waste water purification from heavy metal ions and air purification from the vapour of low-molecular hydrocarbons.
