Abstract: Comparative studies of sorption immobilization of glucoamylase on various inorganic carbon-containing supports prepared on the basis of ceramic monoliths (blocks) of a honeycomb structure were carried out. The thorough studies of the glucoamylase sorption demonstrated that the morphology of the carbon surface layer has a significant effect on the sorption character and value. For example, the synthesis of catalytic filamentous carbon on the surface of ceramic blocks allows the preparation of sorbents that have the sorption degree of the enzyme and its stable attachment to the support surface optimal for the preparation of a heterogeneous biocatalyst for the conversion of starch into glucose.
