Abstract: The results of a numerical simulation of the catalytic purification of gases from organic admixtures and nitrogen oxides in the regime of a moving heat wave are presented. It is shown that five cyclical regimes exist in a catalyst layer with periodic flow reversal and with progress of two reactions with considerably differing kinetic parameters. The results of the theoretical studies are supported by the data on realization of commercial catalytic processes.
