Abstract: Adsorption and gas-chromatographic properties of carbon-mineral adsorbents containing up to 40 wt % of carbon at the surface of gamma-aluminum oxide were studied. Modification of the surface of aluminum oxide with carbon provides a set of adsorbents with different elution orders of compounds. The adsorption capacity of adsorbents with respect to saturated hydrocarbons increases significantly with carbon content. Examples of the use of adsorbents under study for gas-chromatographic analysis are given.
