Abstract:
The reactions of catalytic oxidation of diesel oil, octane and methane on the porous FeAl and CrAl-based cermet catalysts with CuO as active component were studied. These cermets have hierarchical porous structure with mesoporous alumina encapsulated in utramacropores and high attrition resistance. The increase of alumina content in the cermet support improves performance due to increase of CuO content in the catalysts. These cermet catalysts shaped as honeycombs with large channels are promising for the fuel combustion in a fluidized bed of inert materials transferring heat from the catalyst to the heat exchanger.
