Реферат: The work was focused on investigating a nature of the compounds formed in LNT catalyst during its ageing in exhaust of the diesel engine operating under realistic NOx aftertreatment protocol. Samples of fresh and aged LNT catalyst were cut from the frontal area of corresponding monolith catalyst. It was found that during the LNT catalyst ageing under real diesel exhaust conditions, accumulating of the oil- and fuel-derived impurities such as S, P, Ca and Zn is taking place. Sulfur is being distributed over the whole thickness of the wash-coat layer, while phosphorus, calcium and zinc are being concentrated in the thin sub-surface layer of the wash-coat. Sulfur was found to be bonded into barium sulfate, while phosphorus – into cerium phosphate.
