Abstract: Currently the main goal of vacuum gasoil (VGO) hydrotreatment is the production of the raw materials with maximum yield for the process of fluid catalytic cracking (FCC). These raw materials are fractions boiling in the range of 360-560оС and containing 200-400 ppm of S [1]. Hydrotreating of VGO is carried out at temperature of 345-390оC and pressure of 4,0-14,0 MPa. CoMo catalysts are typically used for hydrotreating at low pressures, whereas NiMo catalysts are used for processing at high pressures. In recent years, several major world producers of hydrotreating catalysts have expanded the range of goods and offered trimetallic CoNiMo systems, for example HR-544, HR-568 (Axens), KF-905 (Albemarle), AT-795 (Grace). These catalysts have advanced activity in hydrodesulfurisation and hydro-denitrogenation of FCC feed. Also such catalysts are characterized by low hydrogen con-sumption and could be used in the wide range of hydrotreating process conditions. The atomic Co/Ni ratio in the known trimetallic catalysts is 1,5. Present work is devoted to the influ-ence of Co/Ni ratio in CoNiMo/Al2O3 catalysts on the structure of sulfided active component and catalytic properties in VGO hydrotreating.
