Abstract: The preparation technique of new composite catalytic materials in the form of hollow spheres was developed. TiO2-SiO2 composites were modified by nickel and cobalt. After annealing, the spatial structure of sphere samples was studied by X-ray microtomography on a digital 3D microtomograph. The state of the cations of transition elements and titanium was characterized by UV-Vis DR spectroscopy. The catalysts were tested in the oxidation of n-heptane. It was found that besides the destructive oxidation, the oxidative dehydrogenation of n-heptane and formation of partial oxidation products such as ketones and esters took place. The selectivity towards the partial oxidation products at 400-450oC reaches 63% on Ni modified catalyst
