Abstract:
We studied the influence of intermittent illumination on photonic efficiency of acetone vapor oxidation. The general conclusion is that there are two kinetically distinguishable active species on the titania surface with lifetimes in range of 10-3-101 s. Since our experimental results are in good agreement with studies of Cornu et al., we can conclude that photocatalytic oxidation proceeds through the similar radical mechanism both for gas-solid and water solid
