Abstract:
SOx и NOx are the most toxic components of exhaust gases of diesel engines [1]. Sulfur content in diesel fuels is strictly regulated. It has to be less than 10 ppm. There is no quantitative limits on nitrogen content in diesel fuels. However, there is only a recommendation that the nitrogen content should be as low as possible [1]. Therefore, the development of hydrotreating catalysts focuses on the reduction of sulfur content in diesel fuels, while nitrogen content remains in the background.
In present work, influence of modifying agents (B and P) on properties of CoMo/Al2O3 catalysts was analysed. Optimal contents of B and P to produce catalysts with high activity in hydrodesulfurization and hydrodenitrogenation of diesel fuels was defined.
