Abstract:
The methanol dehydrogenation process was investigated in the catalytic membrane reactor. As it was established, the highest values of methanol conversion could be reached in the case of the membrane reactor when the hydrogen oxidation reaction takes place in the shell side of the reactor. The performed mathematical modeling has allowed us to define the key parameter values at which the highest conversion of methanol and methyl formate selectivity are expected to be achieved as the process is carried out in the catalytic membrane reactor.
