Abstract: Alloys of partly miscible metals attract a growing attention due to their unique physicochemical properties. In present work, palladium-rhodium solid solution was synthesized using multi-metal single precursor concept. The samples of the Pd-Rh/γ-Al2O3 catalyst were prepared by incipient wetness impregnation of the support with a solution of precursor. The samples were characterized by powder X-ray diffraction analysis, transmission electron microscopy, electron paramagnetic resonance and photoluminescence spectroscopies. The catalytic behavior of the samples was examined in a model reaction of CO oxidation in a prompt thermal aging regime. The stability of obtained bimetallic catalyst was found to be improved if compare with monometallic reference sample.
