Abstract:
The concept of the universal t-curve in adsorption porometry was elaborated by de Boer et al in the middle of the past century. However, it is accepted now that different materials, i.e. alumina, silica, carbon, require specific t-curves coherent to their surface chemical composition, and no universality is observed. On the other hand, there are many alternative evidences that surface composition does not have a considerable effect on adsorption after a monolayer is formed.
