Abstract: The strength of crystal field created by ligands surrounding the central cation has a significant effect on the position of the absorption bands of the d elements originated due to their d-d-transitions. It will be shown in the work according to UV-Vis spectroscopy that the maxima of the absorption bands correspond to different d-d-transitions of Ni2+ cations stabilized in octahedral oxygen coordination. The energy levels of the detected d-d-transitions indicate that several structures with different strength of crystal field are formed around the embedded Ni2+ cations during the synthesis. It was also confirmed by a differential dissolution (DD) method.
