The thermodynamic requirements for the properties of the adsorbent optimal for heat/humidity regeneration in Ventireg process are formulated qualitatively. Using the climatic data for Novosibirsk (the Western Siberia), the quantitative requirements are formulated in term of the relative humidity range, where the adsorbent has to sorb the moisture. Based on the analysis of the literature data on water adsorption on CSPMs, the composites CaCl2/silica and LiCl/silica can be recommended for the Ventireg process realization in the Western Siberia with an uptake variation of 0.45-0.5 g/g. The detailed study of the moisture regeneration with the selected sorbents is the subject of our further study.
