The title catalyst with increased activity and stereospecificity was prepd. by satn. of a powd. porous polyethylene (I) [9002-88-4] carrier with active components at <0° in the absence of hydrocarbon solvent, followed by heat treatment. The carrier was satd. with a liq. complex, such as TiCln.AlRmCl3-m (n ≤4; m ≤3; R = hydrocarbyl), preferably with the complex prepd. by treating TiCl4 with AlRmCl3-m. I carrier had particle size ≤0.25 mm, pore vol. ≥0.5 cm3/g, and sp. surface ≥2 m2/g.
