The invention relates to the field of producing highly efficient filtering materials for purifying air or gases and can be used for manufg. three-dimensional self-supporting filters, particularly cylindrical filters. The tech. result of the invention is achieved in that in a three-dimensional filter made of a non-woven self-supporting material consisting of micro-diam. polymer supporting fibers and nano-diam. polymer filtering fibers integrated within said supporting fibers, the supporting fibers form a cohesive three-dimensional filter framework, and the filtering fibers are distributed with varying d. in the body of the filter, wherein the d. of the fibers increases from the surface of the filter facing the oncoming flow of the medium to be purified to the surface through which the purified medium exits the filter. The claimed three-dimensional filter is self-supporting and provides consistently high-quality purifn. of air and gases over a long period of time.
