Abstract:
Conclusions
1. 31P and51V NMR were used to determine the pH interval for the formation of the heteropolyanions PVnW12-nO40 (3−n)(n=1–4), and it was found that PV3W9 and PV4W8 form even at pH 7–8.
2. Pure HPA PVW11 PV2W10, and PV3W9 form quantitatively from a stoichiometric ratio of P, V, and W and at a pH of 1, 2, and 5, respectively.
3. The HPA PV4W8 forms without admixtures of other PVW HPA at pHπ 8 and can be separated from metavanadate and phosphate contaminants and mixed isopolyanions by recrystallization.
