Abstract:
The processes taking place at the steps of preparation of supported catalysts, impregnation, drying, and thermotreatment, have been analyzed. The main attention is devoted to the elucidation of general physicochemical principles which are related to the structure of porous bodies and determination of the distribution of active components of supported catalysts over the pellet radius. The review is based on the theoretical investigations of the authors and of other scientists working on the preparation of supported catalysts on the theory of porous bodies and on the theory of surface and capillary phenomena in porous bodies.
