Abstract:
Surface hydride compounds of Ti, Zr and Hf were synthesized by supporting tetrahydroborate compounds of these metals on silica and alumina, followed by their heating in vacuum. The resulting surface hydrides are shown to be direct precursors of active centers of ethylene polymerization. The catalytic properties of these systems synthesized in ethylene polymerization are studied.
