Abstract:
The Si-Mo/SiO2 catalyst, prepared by deposition of molybdosilicic heteropoly-acid on SiO2 or on Aerosil, was studied by IR spectroscopy. When the catalyst was synthesized by using NH4 paramolybdate and SiO2, the heteropolyacid formed on the surface. The acidic Broensted centers on the catalysts surface were detected by IR spectra of adsorbed NH3.
