Abstract: The influence of pressure in the range 5-10 MPa on the demetallizing ability of Al-Co-Mo catalysts with different porous structures has been investigated under the conditions of hydrorefining of petroleum residues containing 50 mg/kg vanadium and nickel. It has been found that on an industrial catalyst, in which th volume of macropores with radii of greater than 100 nm amounts to 0. 09 cm3/g, the amount of vanadium and nickel deposited decreases with decreasing pressure. In samples with volumes of the macropores of 0. 2-0. 3 cm3/g the decrease in pressure reduces the intensity of nickel deposition but has practically no influence on the amount of vanadium removed.
