Abstract:
The phase compositions and active component dispersity in Pt/Al2O3 catalysts subjected to thermal treatment in air, Ar, or H2 atms. were studied by x-ray diffraction methods (x-ray line widths, atom radial distribution functions). Metal-support interaction occurs to the maximum extent during thermal treatment of H2PtCl6-impregnated γ-Al2O3 samples in air and to a laser extent during the direct reduction process. The ratio of Pt ionic and metal states in the catalyst was detected, that ratio varies and depends on catalyst prepn. conditions.
