Abstract:
A method for simultaneous determination of both the structure and substructure of dispersed objects from X-ray scattering data is proposed. In experiment, the intensity is measured at S-equidistant points, which permits one to use an effective algorithm for discrete Fourier transform (DFT) to calculate the radial distribution functions (RDF). On the basis of the DFT algorithm properties, the maximum distance to be examined was estimated. The feasibility of the method was verified experimentally on model objects. The criteria of selection of the experimental conditions and mathematical data treatment are elaborated, depending on the problem to be solved. The method of estimation of average size of coherent scattering zones from the RDF is proposed and verified. The model and experimental intensity curves and RDF were compared.
