Abstract:
The EPR method was used to study the formation of the active component in gel-immobilized catalyst systems (GCSs) for oligomerization of butadiene (Bd). The EPR spectra of GCSs that contain aryl phosphites that vary in structure and electron-donor properties and immobilized Ti(OBu)4, after reduction with Et2 AlCl in vacuum and in an atmosphere of Bd, differ significantly from each other. The addition of ligands (L) with greater donor properties to the LTi(OBu)4-Et2AlCl GCS leads to an increase of the proportion of isolated Ti(III) ions.
