Abstract:
IR-spectral characteristics are reported of surface olefin complexes formed with the participation of various surface sites: coordinatively unsaturated cations, oxygen anions, surface hydroxyl groups and possible combinations of these sites (e.g. Men+ o2− and Men+ OH). The relationship between the nature of surface sites and type of surface compounds has been established. On this basis classification of surface compounds has been made. The dependences of spectral parameters of adsorption complexes on the properties of individual types of sites have been determined. The heat of formation of various complexes and the number of active sites involved in the interaction have been estimated.
