Abstract:
Conclusions:
1. In reduced nickel-containing zeolites nickel is present in degrees of oxidation +2, +1, and 0.
2. The atoms of Ni(0) clusters in the zeolite framework have a higher electron deficiency than on SiO2. The degree of electron deficiency of the metal and its distribution depend on the carrier acidity.
3. The state of nickel incorporated into zeolite changes in the presence of hydrocarbon molecules. Molecules of 1-hexene, which are more active than those of benzene, react with the nickel cations and reduce them.
