Abstract:
The process of isotope exchange of O and the oxidation of MeOH was studied with 10 different kinds of V2O5-Cr2O3 catalysts. The reaction mechanism of O depended upon the catalyst's composition. The activity of the catalysts in the oxidation of MeOH increased with the decrease in the strength of the O bonds with the surface; HCHO reactions had the reverse effect.
