Abstract:
In a high-temperature x-ray chamber the phase composition of NiMoO4, CoMoO4, Fe2(MoO4)3, MnMoC4, Cr2(MoO4)3, MgMoO4, and CaMoO4 was studied in a H2O-O-hydrocarbon medium of 20-750°. In the presence of O, the H2O vapor and hydrocarbons have no effect on the phase composition and temperatures of polymorphic transition of the molybdates. In the absence of O, NiMoO4, Fe2(MoO4)3, and Cr2(MoO4)3 are reduced by hydrocarbons to lower oxides and metals. The app. is described.
