Abstract:
Adsorption of propylene on CuO-MgO solid solutions leads to the formation of the σ- and π-allyl surface complexes, the surface complexes containing CO2- and CO3- groups, and some π-propylene complexes. The σ- and π-allyl complexes desorbed at < 200°, and the π-propylene desorbed at 300° with a partial transformation to an oxidized surface complex which remained stable on the surface and decomposed at 250-400°.
