Abstract:
The mechanism of solvent evaporation and of a component pptn. in porous catalyst carrier was analyzed by considering the carrier as a compn. of randomly combined cavities and channels. A correlation exists between the mechanism of the pptn. during drying and structural characteristics of the carrier. The analysis based on known experimental and theoretical ideas about drying of porous material and experimental data obtained from segments of the desorption isotherms and Hg-porometry. The results can be used for improvement of supported-catalyst production technology for cases when the pptg. agent is not adsorbed by a carrier.
