Abstract:
Activity of catalysts for 1,4-cis polymerisation of butadiene [106-99-0], obtained by an interaction of π-allylnickel halides with SiO2 as catalyst support depended on the nature of the halide in the organometallic compound. The catalytic activity of π-allylnickel halides increased through the series: iodide, bromide and chloride. Stereospecificity of organometallic catalysts obtained from di(π-allyl)nickel and di(π-allyl-chromium) was determined by the nature of the support. The no. of active centers depended on changes in the degree of dehydration which had an effect of stereospecificity of diallylnickel and SiO2.
