Abstract:
In oxidation of CO on Ni oxide or on Ni oxide on SiO2 or a zeolite catalysts the at. catalytic activity (ACA) and activation energy Ea depended strongly on catalyst dispersion. The isolated Ni cations exhibited a min. and the strongly interacting cations in zeolites and the fine-particle NiO exhibited max. ACA. The ACA depended also on magnetic susceptibility of the catalysts and dropped sharply at χ > 3 × 104 CGS. The fine particle catalysts caused high activation energy at < 250° and the large particle catalysts at >350°.
