Abstract:
The effect of γ-preirradiation was studied on catalytic activity of pure Al2O3 or Al2O3 containing ≤3.57 wt. % Fe and
≤0.001 wt. % Cr in hydrogenation of C2H4, C3H6, and C4h8. The irradiation caused an increase of catalytic activity of all investigated catalysts. The hydrogenation of C2H4 was accompanied by polymerisation which took place on Al2+ centers and reduced Cr ions. In hydrogenation catalysis, the activity of catalysts depended on Cr ion concentration. The irradiation caused a decrease of H ⇄ D exchange on the catalysts.
