Abstract:
Corundum and silite were the best carriers for V2O5 catalysts in the oxidn. of Me2S to Me2SO. At low conversion the oxidation proceeded by parallel paths; at high conversion parallel and sequential paths occurred. Repeated regenerations of the corundum-supported catalyst were accomplished.
