Abstract:
Three stages were observed during O adsorption on Ni[100] faces: (1) chemisorption on Ni [100] forming a (2 × 2)-Oadsorbed structure for surface coverage θ = 0.5; (2) appearance and growth of 3-dimensional NiO nuclei; (3) slow growth of continuous NiO films.
