Abstract:
The kinetics of oxidation of acrolein over a V-Mo-SiO2 were detected at 300°. The rate of formation of H2C:CHCO2H depended on the concentration of acrolein, O, and H2O vapor; the rate of formation of deep oxidation products depended on the concentration of acrolein, H2C:CHCO2H, and O. Overall kinetic equations for the oxidation process were developed.
