Abstract:
The acidity and basicity of Ga-Sb catalysts containing Be, Mg, Ca, Sr, or Ba were detected. When the catalysts came into contact with the NH3-containing reaction mixture, the concentration of basic centers increased. The rate-determining step in propane ammoxidation was heterolytic C-H cleavage on a basic site.
